Seed Corn Huskers

Designed for stripping the layers and silks of seed corn cobs.
• The machine consists of the base husker with an optional shaker feeder and an optional metering conveyor section available upon request.
• The main chassis and The shaker feeder pan and chute, husking area rod covers, oscillator bearing support frame, oscillator paddles, chain coupling guards, belt‑pulley guards, and both waste and product discharge chutes are manufactured from mild steel with stainless‑steel paint coating, ensuring maximum structural strength and durability.
• Husker roll dimensions: bore diameter 45 mm (1 ¾ inches), outer diameter 70 mm ±1 mm (~2 3/4 inches), length 295.5 mm (~11,6 inches).
Standard husker roll profile includes 11 tooth.
• Length of each rubber roll line: approximately 1478 mm (58”).
• Each husking lane consists of two husking roll shafts.
• Every four husking roll shafts are powered through a single enclosed bevel gear. Up to four bevel gear units are driven by one belt‑pulley mechanism and a single electric motor.
• Floating (loose‑fit) supported bearings are used to compensate for wear on the rubber roll teeth.
• Bearing of the husking roll shafts are manufactured from bronze at infeed and aluminium at discharge and all equipped with special bronze wear bushings.
• Thanks to their specially designed loose-fit joints, the bushing bearings allow rotational movement in both horizontal and vertical directions, compensating for shaft deflections under harsh operating conditions. This design prevents shaft breakage, eliminates overheating of the bearing bushings, and significantly reduces bearing wear.
• The oscillator mechanism is driven by a motoreducer mounted on the base husker.
• The husker bed angle can be adjusted manually as standard in 3° increments, or optionally via a hydraulic system stepless, between 6° and 12°.
• Centralized lubrication grease points are provided as standard, with an optional automatic lubrication system available.
• Electrical safety switches are installed on the rod guards.
